Natural and conventional active ingredients, what is the difference?

In cosmetics, "active ingredients" are the key ingredients that act directly on the skin to target specific needs: hydration, radiance, anti-aging, imperfections, etc. But did you know that there are two main families of active ingredients? Natural active ingredients and so-called conventional active ingredients.

Natural active ingredients:

They come directly from nature: plants, fruits, algae, minerals… They are generally extracted using environmentally friendly methods such as cold pressing, fermentation, or distillation. Their strength? A richness in nutrients and a strong sensory power. They are found in vegetable oils, aloe vera, floral extracts, and even plant-based hyaluronic acid. These active ingredients are attractive for their gentleness, authenticity, and respectful approach to skin and the environment.

Conventional assets:

Derived from synthetic chemistry, they are designed in the laboratory to guarantee targeted effectiveness and high stability over time. They allow for rapid action on certain problems such as wrinkles, spots, or imperfections. Among them, we find, for example, retinol, salicylic acid, and niacinamide. These active ingredients are widely used in conventional cosmetics for their performance and precision.

Two complementary approaches:

At Face Synergy, we believe in a balanced approach, where nature and science complement each other. Some natural active ingredients offer remarkable effectiveness, while others remain essential depending on your skin's needs. It's all about harmony, intelligent formulation, and adaptation to your skin.

The key: choose safe, well-tolerated active ingredients that are suited to your skin... whether natural or synthetic.
